Carbon Starfish started with a simple observation: the human creative mind and modern AI make a remarkable pairing. One imagines, the other remembers. One invents, the other organizes. One writes with heart, the other catches what the heart missed.
Our founding team brings more than 35 years of experience designing and building software, along with a real passion for creative work. When agentic AI began to mature, we saw the chance to build tools we had always wished existed. These tools treat AI as a thoughtful assistant, never the author and never the judge.
That idea became Carbon~Quill, a writing studio built Author First for novelists. The same conviction led to RenderSift, which gives teams that ship interfaces a second set of eyes on every screenshot while their reviewers keep the final say.
